Your Quarter Didn’t Reset—You Just Carried the Problem Forward

If nothing changed, you’re not starting fresh—you’re repeating the cycle.

Read time: 2.5 minutes

The fact of the matter is this: There isn't a reset button in business, but just results of things that will affect you in the future.

"New quarter, new plan" sounds like a good idea.

However, revenue has never improved magically. Execution never got better, priorities never changed... nothing has been reset.

You have simply moved from Q1 to Q2 with the same problems, only with less time to fix them.

Real Leaders Do the Following:

1. There Is No Reseting
• Time does not help execution.
• You are continuing to extend results from Q1.
• Pressure builds, it doesn't go away.

2. No More Planning, Start Cutting
• More plans will not solve the lack of focus.
• Cut anything that didn't generate revenue.
• Focus on what actually works.

3. Eliminate Drag Right Now
• Speed is more important than ever before.
• Address those who are slowing down momentum.
• Cut unnecessary meetings.

4. Avoid Debate Loops
• Indecision costs you money.
• Make a decision quickly.
• Execute without over-discussing.

5. Use a 90 Day Outcome as an Anchor Point
• Clarity comes from limitations.
• Ask, "What should be true in 90 days... or we failed?"
• Ensure everything aligns with that decision.

💡Key Takeaway:

You can't turn back time... you'll have less opportunity to repair what has failed.
