TRUTHTM: 90% of Job Seekers Burn Out—Because They’re Doing It Wrong
You’re not tired because it’s hard. You’re tired because it’s inconsistent.

Read time: 2.5 minutes
For most candidates, the fact is they aren’t searching for jobs.... rather, they're performing a different version of themselves at each interview.
Monday - Full of confidence
Wednesday - Indecisive and/or overthinking
Friday - Tired and/or mentally fatigued
Same candidate, but every interview has had a new version of you.
On the other hand, another candidate shows up to every interview as the same type of person: clear, consistent, and easy to trust. This candidate will get the job over you simply because they were consistent.

TRUTH™: 5 Steps to Recover Your Employment Search
T — Tension
Don’t treat every phone call as if it’s your only chance.
• Limit the number of interviews to two per day, three days a week.
• If you’re perpetually “in the zone,” there’s something wrong with your system.
R — Reframe
Consistency always trumps performance.
• Use the same three core stories as a foundation.
• Don’t reinvent yourself with every job interview.
U — Utility
Create assets and reduce the stress associated with creating them.
• Develop three quantifiable successes.
• Create one positioning statement and opening line.
• Reuse them throughout the employment search process.
T — Transfer
Group your work to conserve your energy.
• Conduct interviews from Tuesday through Thursday.
• Make phone calls and recover from the interview on Monday and Friday.
• Don’t allow random scheduling.
H — Human Proof
Clarity is more important than charisma.
• Clearly state what you do best.
• For example: “My strength is decreasing X by Y%.”
💡Key Takeaway:
Success does not rely on how much of an impression you create, but rather on the clarity you provide, the ability to repeat it over and over, and the establishment of your trustworthiness.
