AI Wrote the Code, Optimized the SQL, and Documented It All. So What's Your Job Now?

AI wrote it. AI optimized it. AI documented it. Now your boss is wondering why they need you.

Read time: 2.5 minutes

The superior insisted on employing artificial intelligence in computer science. The previously mentioned software was responsible for all coding as well as written documents. Consequently, the boss asked, "What do you do?" The data scientist was unable to respond.

3 Ways to Implement AI into the Data Science Work Without Losing Yourself

1. Make AI a helpful instrument, and not a solution.
❌ Letting AI do everything alone.
✅ Using AI to make tasks quicker while dealing with issues and contexts. Value is not in code writing, but in grasping the reason for it.

2. Write down your thoughts instead of recording codes.
❌ Providing only the outputs of AI.
✅ Describing why some conclusions were made, and how the logic was proven correct. It is this human element that is crucial for being irreplaceable.

3. Present yourself as an AI operator.
❌ Saying "AI did this."
✅ Saying that "I used AI to get this result.
Here is how I made AI produce the desired outcome."

💡Key Takeaway:

While AI can generate Python code, it does not have a clear understanding of your business. Remind your superiors of this important distinction.
