5 Brutal Truths: Why I’m So Tired of AI! (And It’s Only Thursday)
If your company keeps “adding AI” but nothing feels simpler, this might explain why.

Read time: 2.5 minutes
Today is Thursday! AI can do so much, including create auto-schedules in your calendar, automatically suggest email replies, automatically reroute you when navigating and even help you with your coffee preferences based on how you feel at that particular moment in time.
There is AI all over the place... an AI therapist, AI recruiter, AI CRM, and AI Note Taker. But when you ask, “What is my measurable ROI?” suddenly, there is a lack of confidence. The tools look impressive! There is uncertainty regarding how they could affect you. The clarity lies somewhere between automation and optimization.
5 Brutal Realities About the AI World:
1. The Label of AI is Everywhere, But the Differentiation Isn’t.
The term “AI” can be found everywhere, but what makes one AI different from another?
2. The Rate of Growth in Developing New AI Companions Is Outpacing The Rate of Cash Flow Generation from AI.
We have developed means of simulating romance, providing therapy, and increasing productivity through AI... however, discussions about generated revenue from these products are often general.
3. An AI Strategy is Now an AI Grocery List.
AI CRM, AI Note Taking, AI Presentation Building; Do any of them work well together? They will generally say hello to one another but most likely not.
4. AI Did Not Eliminate Work, It Increased Pressure.
We now have to respond faster, think more quickly, and get more items done, and efficiency could be considered one and the same.
5. The Hype Surrounding AI Is Greater than the Discipline to Use AI.
Those who are really winning at AI are doing so while they are working behind-the-scenes to clean their data, eliminate redundant applications, measure and control their processors, and say no.
Discipline scales... but hype does not.
💡Key Takeaway:
AI has great potential, but power without good stewardship is just a lot of jumbled noise.
Those organizations that are removing (not adding) things to build an automated process will lead the future.
