30s MINDSET SHIFT: Your Organization Isn’t Aligned... It’s Just Coordinated

Meetings don’t create alignment. Systems do.

If teams work together but produce conflicting results, they lack alignment as they coordinate and have no direction to guide them.

Everyone attends the same meetings, uses the same slides and implements the same strategy.

Yet the execution ends in three different directions. Marketing focuses on reaching, sales on revenue, and ops on controlling costs. They are all correct… however, they are not aligned because the overall system or process will not allow them to function together as a team.

How Does the "Alignment" Process Break Down?

1. Alignment Is Different Than Coordination!
Just because two meetings are happening does not mean that they will produce the same end results.

Multiple voices dilute the ability for someone to feel ownership of the decision.

Each team is always optimizing for itself, not for the entire system.

If the two KPIs differ and present two different realities.

When there is no clarity, execution becomes fragmented.

6. It is not the individuals, it is the systems!
If the underlying structure of a company is misaligned, so will the results.
